I do worry about my electronics when we travel. Our backpacks do have a place to store our iPads or eReaders but they never feel quite padded enough.
Then it occurred to me that Amazon sends a lot of stuff in these bubble lined packages and it seems to protect whatever I order.
So I got some packing tape and reinforced the envelope opening and bottom. Then I slipped the envelope into the backpack.
Yup. I think it will work quite nicely. If nothing else, it makes me feel more confident.

what a great idea. i save mine, cut them open and use them under my cooling racks when i am brushing rolls or bread with melted butter. they absorb everything and the plastic bubble part keeps the butter off the counter. a bit wacky but it works and at least i get some use out of them!.

ReplyDeleteWe are staying in this hemisphere this year. Our biggest trip will be a driving vacation along the St. Lawrence in Quebec. Have you done that?

ReplyDeleteI don't get many Amazon packages, but I purchased such an envelope from the Post Office one time, that had a plastic wrap exterior with bubbles inside. I cut it down and put my portable keyboard in it, then into my nursing backpack. It stayed very safe. (I bluetoothed my keyboard to my smarphone to write HIPPA protected emails into my office, in order to write on-call notes in the field after a patient visit.) Linda in Kansas

DeleteI do like recycling. My laptop came with a padded carrying case, but this could work for many other things.
