Art and I were watching Revenant and we both remarked something I've noticed before.
I think it's hilarious we both noticed this when Leonardo was rather bushy for most of the movie with beard and mustache.
We thought our nephew, Cody looked like Leonardo diCaprio. Maybe it's not a huge resemblance, but there's something that grabbed us both. It's funny how often we'll both be watching a movie and think an actor reminds us of someone.
Does that happen to you too?

ReplyDeleteIt's always fun to look at a toddler and try to see which parent s/he most resembles.
ReplyDeleteKeith and I always think that someone in a movie or on a tv program looks like someone we know. But Cody is waaaayyyy more handsome than Leonardo diCaprio, and you can tell him that!

ReplyDeleteI often see resemblances of movie stars when I meet new people, sometimes I am at a loss of the name of the famous person and then the look alike will mention the name for me because others also thought they looked like the movie star too.
We know someone that looks like Rod Stewart - but we don't mention it to her.

ReplyDeleteI cannot say I loved the Revenant, but I'm glad I saw it and just KNOW Leonardo will finally get his Oscar! :-)

ReplyDeleteI can see your nephew's resemblance. As for Revenant, I'd like to see DiCaprio win an Oscar eventually and he has had past deserving rolls. But, I don't see that engaging in such physical hardships for a movie qualifies as acting to a degree that warrants an Oscar. I agree with one non-jealous professional actor who has questioned, "Since when does wrestling with a bear become an Oscar performance?" But...who wins isn't always about real acting.
They do look alike but Cody is much nicer to look at.
